Since 2023, Nassim Balestrini, Director of the Centre for Intermediality Studies in Graz, and CIMIG Advisory Board member Irina Rajewsky (University of Mainz) have been serving as series editors of “Studies in Intermediality: Systematic and Historical Perspectives on Intermedial, Transmedial, and Multimodal Theory and Practice.” This internationally successful book series publishes monographs and essay collections on intermedial, transmedial and multimodal theories. The volumes present current research by scholars from various disciplines who discuss how different analog and digital media interact. The subject matter ranges across numerous interactions that have been evolving for centuries and across cultures worldwide. Werner Wolf, the former deputy director of the Centre for Intermediality Studies in Graz and Professor emeritus of English Studies, co-edits the book series “Word and Music Studies” with Walter Bernhart, the founder of the Centre and retired professor of English. The series focuses on interdisciplinary research projects on texts in different forms and music.
